Grassroots Efforts: Support Them

Published by ajtyne under Uncategorized, politics Edit This

Grassroots Efforts Springing Up Everywhere!

I was going to write a little history lesson for today, about the Boston Tea Party of 1773, but there is so much going on and so much support needed all around the country, that I decided to postpone the history lesson to provide as many links as I can so that people can try to get involved and support these grassroots efforts.

Of course, there are “tea parties” planned everywhere, and some have already happened.  So I’m giving several links for you to find out more.

No one is suggesting dumping tons of tea into the sea, don’t worry! But taking a stand against the spend and tax and borrow and spend and print and borrow is urgent if we are to save our nation and protect our children and their children from economic disaster. Find where and how to participate in the tea party protests , or even organize a tea party event in your area.

There is a special election in New York next week, that would go a long way to add some balance to Congress if the Republican were to win:

Jim Tedisco is seeking the Congressional seat in NY-20 in a special election to be held on March 31, 2009. Find more information on Mr. Tedisco at http://www.jimtedisco.com.

There’s an important vote coming up, too. Please check this out if you’d like to help stop politicians getting campaign funds from us — even at the city level!

Check out Rebuild the Party and  Smart Girl Politics to find all the info from National, regional, down to local.  Men are very welcome at Smart Girl Politics, throughout the site, and there is a group for men at Smart Girl Politics, too.
